SUMMARY:Imaginative Storm Workshop June 17
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this FREE workshop series using the Imaginative Storm method for inspiration and writing practice. Facilitated by Heather Sparkman\, this workshop is designed to be about enjoyment and encouragement rather than critique. Each week is an independent experience\, you are free to join us as you are able.\n\nWhat is the Imaginative Storm Method?Think of your imagination as a muscle. The more you work it\, the stronger and stretchier it gets. The great thing is\, no pain! No groaning and burning! Just play and exploration and surprise.\nWe’ll supply a prompt\, think of it as a gym for your writing muscles\, or use it to open a window into a scene or a character. It’s a great strategy for getting your imagination to give you the gifts that you can’t just “think up” with your rational mind.\nAfter engaging with the prompt\, our facilitator will set a timer for 10 minutes… this helps you not try to write well\, because how can you write something good in 10 minutes? *We recommend bringing pen and paper for this exercise\, rather than a computer.*\nDon’t plan what you are going to write. Think of it as a dance between your rational mind and your imagination\, with your imagination taking the lead.\nOnce our 10 minutes are up\, we’ll share our writing with others in the group. Again\, this group is about support and encouragement. Come prepared to be a little vulnerable but also to cheer others on!\n\nQuestions? Email Heather Sparkman at heather@webster-arts.org for more information.

SUMMARY:Yoga in the Gallery - Morning - June 24
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to be offering Yoga in the Gallery this Summer 2026. Join us on Wednesdays at 9:30 am for a class led by Erin Ford. \nPurchase a 4-class pass for $65 or $20 for each individual class. \nRegister for Yoga in the Gallery Here. \nErin Elise Ford (née Dittmer) is a North Webster Groves resident and Webster Groves based yoga teacher\, writer\, and creative\, with a studio community rooted in the Old Orchard neighborhood\, where walkability\, artistry\, and local connection shape daily life. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHer weekly gentle yoga class at Webster Arts will blend accessible poses and breath awareness with an unhurried pace. Erin’s teaching style reflects both the spirit of community and the creative process itself: curious\, thoughtful\, and patient\, grounded in tradition while maintaining an open and responsive approach. She brings a steady presence\, a pastoral sensibility\, and a well-timed sense of humor that helps people feel at ease in their bodies. \nInspired by Webster Groves’ long history as a place where arts\, education\, and community intersect\, Erin approaches yoga as a living practice that deepens through repetition\, care\, and relationship. Teaching in the gallery allows movement to exist alongside visual art\, conversation\, and neighborhood life; an experience that feels both familiar and expansive. \nErin has led the Artist Stretch at the 2024 and 2025 Webster Arts fairs and is deeply committed to serving this community through connection\, consistency\, and spaciousness. Her classes are especially welcoming to those who may feel uncertain about yoga or are simply curious about caring for their bodies in a gentle\, respectful way. This weekly practice will unfold through listening and thoughtful curation\, shaped by the needs of the community it serves.

SUMMARY:Yoga in the Gallery - Morning - July 29
